Nick Rego, PhD

Nick is an expert in state-of-the-art molecular simulations and enhanced sampling. He earned his PhD and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, where he formed the physical basis for the Phi-ensemble technology while working with Amish Patel. Nick is a graduate of the NSF I-Corps program and is the current recipient of a Phase I NSF SBIR award.

Amish is a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania and a recognized leader in the field of statistical mechanics of water and hydrophobicity at the nanoscale. His laboratory focuses on mapping the complex physics of hydration and dewetting at the protein-water interface, providing foundational insights used by the PhiPI platform.
